With no minimum booking requirement, individuals and smaller team numbers can train as needs arise, giving you maximum flexibility for getting your Mental Health First Aiders fully trained or recertified.

Our industry leading training, delivered by the UK's leading workplace Mental Health training organisation, equips your team with the knowledge, tools and resources to support employee wellbeing effectively. Our focus on practical guidance, compliance, and ongoing aftercare helps organisations foster resilient, psychologically safe, and high-performing workplaces.

When the training ends, the support doesn't end there. All learners receive free access to our bespoke 12 month Aftercare - here for you for guidance and advice in real life situations - no apps, no AI, just human to human contact.

Level 1: Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health

This half day training teaches participants to learn to recognise concerns and respond appropriately.

• Understanding what mental health is
• Recognising signs of common mental health conditions
• Starting supportive conversations
• Knowing when and how to signpost someone to professional help

Level 2: First Aid for Mental Health

On this one day training, learners will become "First Aiders for Mental Health" and will be able to act as an initial point of contact within their workplace.

• Identifying common mental health conditions
• Developing confidence in having supportive conversations
• Understanding the effects of drugs and alcohol on mental health
• Using the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan
• Supporting a positive mental health culture in the workplace
• Signposting individuals to professional services

Level 3: Supervising First Aid for Mental Health

This advanced two-day course is aimed at supervisors and managers, and those who are taking a very proactive role in Mental Health First Aid.

• Everything from Level 2
• A broader range of mental health conditions in greater depth
• Therapies and professional treatment options
• Mental health leadership and workplace implementation
• Supporting organisational mental health strategies
• Managing conversations and referrals appropriately
• Understanding the role of a Mental Health First Aider within an organisation

Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health Requalification

This one day requalification course is perfect for staff who already hold the Level 3 qualification and need to renew it before (or shortly after) it expires. Everything from the 2 Day Level 3: Supervising First Aid for Mental Health is revisited and upon successful completion, the learner's regulated qualification is renewed for a further three years.

Arranging an Open Course with us couldn't be easier. Red Umbrella will send you your joining instructions, helpful training tips, Electronic Mental Health Workbook and Ofqual Registration Form.

After the course, learners receive their Ofqual certified certificate, valid for 3 years, and details on how to access Red Umbrella's free 12 Month Aftercare service.
