Unique therapy support

With the construction industry unfortunately having the highest rates of reported mental health and suicides and with the finishing sector within that having the highest rates, Mansell Finishes, as one of the leading companies in the construction sector and a being an extremely caring family run company  came to Red Umbrella wanting a blend of training and support for all of their staff.

Red Umbrella recognised the need for a full holistic approach to tackling the challenges in the construction sector. With Mansell Finishes we delivered a blended programme including

• Mental Health First Aid training for designated staff to recognise signs and start conversations while signposting support. 
• Bespoke management sessions focused on conversations on site and reasonable adjustments for construction mental health. 
• Carecoins (our mental health EAP) providing all employees confidential, on-demand therapy and aftercare. 
• Reporting and aftercare to track uptake and outcomes while maintaining confidentiality.

Mansell Finished were able to not only provide support across their workforce, but reduce the amount of absenteeism they were experiencing. By having Mental Health First Aiders in place, something that has proven to be successful in reducing instances of poor mental health and suicide in the construction industry, their staff now have immediate access to people trained to listen and support them. By having Carecoins it meant that anyone needing professional therapy support could access it immediately with no waiting list.
